Do Herpes Bumps Come In Groups

Challenge - Standard deviation

can get the standard deviation of a dataset, if known:

(1) the distance between each data and media.
(2) the range of data and the number of them.

A) (1) alone.
B) (2) alone.
C) Both Together (1) and (2).
D) Each one by itself (1) or (2).
E) additional information is required.

A: remember the definition of Standard Deviation:

In this formula we need the distance of each data to the average, which is given in (1), but also the numbers of sample data, which is derived from the number of distances to be .... ie (1) alone is enough ....

Let
(2) .... does not give the number of data, but the distance between the maximum and minimum is NOT the same as the distance of each data average. (2) does not work by itself and does not provide relevant data to help (1), which has ALL the required information.

Alternative A)
